Dyna owners who have installed big radius pipes
#11
I had a dealer install my BR pipes and didn't notice that they didn't remove the bracket until a couple of days later. Somebody on this forum was kind enough to ship me the special tool on loan to remove it. However, once I got it I realized that the bottom pipe would have to be removed to get the tool in there. Wasn't worth it to me. Nobody notices it but me and I may want it back on there someday.

I also notice that the dealer didnt remove the bracket. when I asked them to do it on the next service, they said they couldnt because it was part of the motor mount. It was all i could do to keep from laughin my *** off. I made my own tool with a cut down t27 torx bit and a ratcheting box wrench made by Husky. Got it at home depot for about $7.

If you don't wanna cut one up, you might check the local Harbor Freight and you should find a 1/4 hex driver bit set that will have a T27 in it. I'm talking about the sets with flat tips and phillips screw driver bits. Pick up one of them sets cheap and just use a 1/4 wrench on the bit to get it up in there. Noway about it, it's a PITA!
