No, the engine does not turn over at all...it's been sent to shop as we speak.

Not to trash HD in general but the bike (my specific) had front rotor replaced when it had 150 miles on it! and now this. As you can imagine it does not instill confidence.
I did not run empty to the gas station, had about a half gallon of fuel in it when I filled it up. I can imagine some minor issues when you run dry on fuel injected systems.
One thing I do have to agree with is it is 2009, your bike breaking is a cause for dissapointment! why can't harley get these little issues that so many people have ironed out.(bearing problems, clunk, vibration, this post, stator, etc etc.) People love to make excuses about this but it is not right. There is no reason to sell products that are not top notch and reliable these days. look at the sad state of affairs GM and Chrysler are in. If they hadn't been trying to cram horribly crappy products down the American peoples throats for so long maybe they would not be in this mess. The Harley is an incredible thrill to own, but, guess what, the future generations may not be so tolerant to problematic crap.

dude,

i guess everything is more expensive in cali. just had my '07 streetbob tuned for its 5k maintenence for about $230 which i included my own fluids. wanted to get'er in before my warranty was up. i thought $75/hr was a rip. i think its 65-68/hr up in wisconsin at Kutter. illinois is one of the most affordable places to live in the states!

I think it is the starter relay or he has a bad battery.

FWIW: My dealer does the 1000 mile service for free. Even put in Syn3. But I have bought 2 bikes from him and will buy all my bikes from him because he is an excellent guy and his service crew is 100% customer oriented. Liberty HD Akron OH.
