Thanks for all the reply guys, to answer a few questions,
I have over 19 years of riding experience, so no newbie deal here. If I hit the start button there is absolutely no juice (engine does not crank). Not to trash HD in general but the bike (my specific) had front rotor replaced when it had 150 miles on it! and now this. As you can imagine it does not instill confidence.
I did not run empty to the gas station, had about a half gallon of fuel in it when I filled it up. I can imagine some minor issues when you run dry on fuel injected systems.

dude,
i guess everything is more expensive in cali. just had my '07 streetbob tuned for its 5k maintenence for about $230 which i included my own fluids. wanted to get'er in before my warranty was up. i thought $75/hr was a rip. i think its 65-68/hr up in wisconsin at Kutter. illinois is one of the most affordable places to live in the states!

I think it is the starter relay or he has a bad battery.
FWIW: My dealer does the 1000 mile service for free. Even put in Syn3. But I have bought 2 bikes from him and will buy all my bikes from him because he is an excellent guy and his service crew is 100% customer oriented. Liberty HD Akron OH.
