Default Chrome, Gloss Black or Flat Black Handlebars?

I have an 09 Street Bob and am blacking out certain parts, but trying not to go overboard, but ran into a dilemma and cannot make up my mind about my handlebars. I like the stock mini apes, but am on the fence as to wether to leave them chrome, have them powder coated in flat black (to match the denim black finish hand controls and mirrors), or to have them powder coated in gloss black (to match the frame, swingarm and strut covers). Any opinions or pics would be appreciated. Here are pics of my bike the way it is now (will have V&H Black Short Shots and wrinkle black transmission cover and crankcase cover put on this week).

kinda on the fence with this one. i was goin say gloss black but you really dont have much of it. the flat black might be cool but with all the silver on the front end, chrome might be the way to go. Maybe if you did your trees in black? Where do you stop?

I say bars, trees and lowers in gloss black. I think you need the others to flow with the bars. Otherwise keep em' chrome. Just my .02$!

Contrast, it's what causes things to get noticed. The contrast of chrome and black is absolutely one of the best examples of this.

If you black-out your whole ride then you will lose that element of contrast, and then nothing will POP...Not your black or your chrome.

I say keep them chrome, especially because you have the rest of the front end, ie: triple and forks in chrome/silver.

Just my 2 cents.

Cheers,

Tom

With that sissy bar, I would say flat black bars. I like it when the handlebars and sissy bar match.

Otherwise, I would say keep them chrome, seems to be the right mix of chrome and black on your bike once you have those new black parts put on

should prolly make them match your front end... so... powdercoat the triple trees and lower fork sliders, then black em out... if you wanna go that far... like mine.

Go flat to tie in with your sissy bar.

gloss black bars (to go with frame) flat black fork lowers, and flat black trees.
