Question Burnt boot rubber on exhaust

Can anyone tell me a trick or solution for getting burnt boot rubber off of the exhaust pipes

It's easy, believe it or not, those Mr. Clean magic erasers that you wife (I know mine does) uses on everything in the house work well. I bought a pack of the cheap generic ones and they work great. Just a dab of water on the pad and it rubs right off, no scratches, looks great.

When the pipes are warm, just use a little solvent on a rag...actually, can do it on cool pipes too.

Easy Off Oven Cleaner. Heat the pipes up spray it on a rag and wipe it off. (I like to spray it on to a rag and not the pipes because the overspray will damage paint!!)

I just use some mothers mag polish. Rubs right off.

+1 oven cleaner is a fantastic all around chrome cleaner - baked on oil marks, etc

I use -000 steel wool or sos pads with soapy water.
Neither will scratch any chrome.
Been doin it 20 years..
If your curious try it on and piece of chrome first then you will see
no scratches happen....
