it appears to me that the car was driving rather slow and the bikers had had enough and chose a bad spot to pass at to high a speed. the people in the veh seemed to know that they may be blamed at wanted no part of the bikers. that 1% rep goes a long way... lol

Prayers for fast healing, and hoping that he will get back on the bike. It's important that he does that now. Not only for himself, but for others as well.

Peace, Naz
First off, best wishes to your bud for a speedy recovery. That's the important part.

But, I gotta disagree with the idea that "This accident was not due to poor rider skills it was due to stupidity!!!" Choosing to "get crazy" on the bike and entering a turn way too fast is absolutely a display of poor rider skills and judgment.

Avoiding stupidity isn't just a riding skill, it is one of the most important riding skills.

Anyway, like I said, I hope your bud recovers quickly and fully.

Matt

The main thing: respect the bike and what it can and can't do. Bikes are great fun but they can bite you in the a**. Don't be unrealistic about your own riding ability. Alcohol and bikes don't mix period.

Sorry to hear about your buddy. Hope he recovers to ride again with a bit more respect for two wheels.

Wife and I were on a benefit ride a few years ago and the guy right in front of us to the right drifted off a curve and went off. Remember seeing his EGC cartwheel and land on top of him. It was wierd because the curve was a sweeper to the left and we were only doing about 30mph. It was a nerve racking ride back home that day, second guessing everyone elses actions. Prime reason I don't like riding in big groups of people I've never ridden with before.
