We are all quite good riders, Like I said he was getting a little crazy-er then he should have been..... I don't think the best of riders could have avoided it at the speed he was going and the conditions, including you!

This accident was not due to poor rider skills it was due to stupidity!!!

Peace, Naz

Glad he wasn't hurt even worse although his injuries are pretty damn bad. Be careful out there!

When I took the MSF course, they said one of the main causes of motorcycle crashes were due to people losing control in cornering like that. When I take hard turns, I'll usually start off slow, and if I feel I have room to accelerate, I'll twist the throttle some more. Better to be safe then sorry, right?

Anyway, best of luck to your buddy man.

Me too!

Hope he's fine and I hope he learned his lesson. He's the type of rider I dont want to ride with though. No need for that type of riding especially with the setup he had. Save it for the track with the proper bike. Not only could he have killed himself he could have hurt or killed somebody in the group. I once bought along a friend to ride with a group and he pulled some nonsense like this and I was asked never to bring him again. Like the OP said, this was stupidity. Here are some interesting youtube links . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJlurbixxT4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZFpIpaFMlc this 2nd one is a good example of doing something stupid.

Sorry man, I didn't mean to imply that he was a poor quality rider. I was just speaking about riders in general in the spring.

Like I said, I hope he heals up well and quickly.
