Dang, if all you wanted to do was paint it black, I would have traded you my black tins for your blue ones. Both win and saves you money.

Looks good, drop that fender down another 3/4" and I bet you will like it even better. Just drill new holes above the existing one.

Bike looks great and really like the simple and clean look! And love the rear fender chop! That's next on my list!
