Question FB suspension

I have a 2009 Fat Bob and I desperately want to change out my rear shocks. They remind me all too much of my old Shadow days . I am going to put on some coil overs from Progressive. I am not a big performance rider. I like to take long rides with the wife and we go different places, but you aren't gonna find me out twisting up the dragons tail at high speeds. I am considering the 12 inch heavy duty 412s and the 440s. Given my preferred riding style is it worth it to invest the extra $$$ for the 440s???

Went with 12.5" 440's on mine and crank them HARD. The back end is stiff.....I like it, doesn't flounder. Stock length on the Fat Bob is 12". I should have got 13" or maybe even 13.5 to raise it a bit more ..... but just grind off the end of the pegs as I ride, so that has the same effect I suppose.

I would pass on the 440's and the 412's and I'd especially pass on the HD version, they are too stiff, unless you weigh 400 lbs. I'd buy shocks that are sprung for your weight only and adjust preload when your 2-up. For a little bit more $ than 440's you can buy works or YSS rear shocks and you'll be much happier, both are sprung for your weight.
If your rear shocks are too stiff, ride quality sucks and you'll lose traction. You don't have to be an aggressive rider to appreciate quality suspension, you'll notice the difference all the time, more so if you push it.
