I put one on the back a couple weeks ago. Seems to handle fine. The first time I rode with it, the bike seemed to turn easier...almost too easy. Got a couple hundred miles on it now and it's gonna be OK.

You running the 160/70/17 or the 170/60/17?

I have a storm on the back. So far it seems like it's a good tire. No complaints.

Does Avon make a 170/17 rear? What about front?

Yep, they make a 170/60ZR/17 Storm STthat is rated for a 4.25"-5.5" rim.

Avon doesn't make a Storm that'll fit the front and they don't recommend a radial in the front anyway. AM41 Venom is their recommended front for a Dyna.

What tire did you change from?...When I changed from the Dunlop to the Metzeler I am running now,I experienced the same thing...instead of the bike 'fighting me' to come back upright,it would lay in a turn, like you said, almost too easy...definately took getting used to ...I am well pleased with the Metzelers but just wanting to compare them to an AVON...thanks

I have a 2007 FXD. At 12k miles, I changed the stock tires to Avons. Used the tires recommended in their website for the change (Storm ST for the back, Venom for the front), and replaced both tires even though the front stock was still very good. I am extremely satisfied with the Avon performance in rain.
