Default Replacing Front Motor Mount 07 SB

I want to install a new mount myself and I know a number have done this due the crappy motor mounts that cause bad vibration. When it says in the manual that the bike must be upright & level, does that mean on the jiffy stand and level or do I need to have the bike completely upright? Also the support of the engine, can that just be done with a bottle jack or similar?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

how many miles are on your 07 to need a new motor mount? (in my opinion, opinion only i would think they mean the whole bike up right not just on the kickstand.

I have around 8800 miles or so on my 2007. I am replacing it due to the fact I think the mount was bad from the beginning. You can find quite a few post on here about 2007s with the same issue. They are not allowing the engine to float properly & it cause excessive vibration that has been getting worse & worse.

Default Motor Mount

Fully upright-not on the jiffy stand. I suppose a bottle jack will work...I used the scissor jack from my car. You need it to support the motor and to move it in order to get the bolts back in. I would suggest you do a search about the procedure involved in changing it and how the dealers are checking and fixing the vibration problem.
