Before I bought mine I talked to allot of independent wrenches and every single one said for a Dyna you can't do much better than Thunderheader for power. The guy where I took mine for dyno tuning was a true duals fan but when he saw the numbers I was getting he was sold. What he said is that with a Thunderheader SE intake and SERT I was getting as much and in some cases more than similar dual exhaust set ups with a cam. Yea they're fugly but with 80 hP and 92 lbs of TQ it's a good kind of ugly.
It's just me, but I think Thunder Headers are fugly; but from what I hear, they offer very good performance. I'm looking at dumping my slip-ons for a V&H 2-1 Pro Pipe.

That's a myth. Owned by Don Rich. There was an HA that worked for thunderheader for a while, but that's it. The myth probably got started because the 81 are known to be big thunderheader fans and they're endorsed by Sonny.
