The throttle return spring is on the fuel mainfold, not on the cable. There is a small spring on the idle cable, but it only functions to hold tension.

Point taken. I'll shut up now and go buy some Harley coasters or something.

So who will be the first one to ACTUALLY go for the single throttle cable mod?

I like the idea, but I want to feel what it will do to the throttle first.

I like it smooooooth, I dont think it would be a problem but just want to make sure first.

Most states require them. Here they are part of the yearly safety inspection. As a rule if a vehicle is deemed unsave, the dude with the badge can have it impounded until its repaired. If it does get noticed, plan on needing a ride home.
Kinda like having blacked out tail lights. Very cool until the dude that rear ends you notices them.

If anything,it makes your throttle lighter = reduced strain on wrist. On the jap bikes that i've done this to,there's normally been a spring on the cable that you take off (after the carb side adjuster, before where the nipple attatches ) occasionally i,ve put this spring on the remaining cable.

Undo one of the cables and try it.
