Default Dont Want to beat a dead horse but!!!

Getting the itch to repaint my bike but i would like to do it myself with a rattle can. I have seen some pritty good paint jobs with the can and would like to try it myself.. I have some holes from the old 2 up seat that i want to bondo up and then repaint it all.. Question is... Is this correct..

Strip all current paint off.. (what kind of sand paper should i use?)
Put down a primer.. (yellow ****)
Put down the second primer.. (Grey ****)
put down the paint.. (how many layers?)
Wet sand the paint...
Put down the clear coat...(how many layers)
Wet sand the clear...

About the just of it??

ok... here we go... you can get an AWESOME paint job wiht rattle can but you will want to get a 2 stage clear for the top as that is much more protective than a rattle can clear (will not holdup to gas)... you can still get a great paint job with rattle cans just takes a bit more paint and a touch more work... hell the paint does not know if it is being shot from a gun or can... what color are you looking to do?
i am a huge fan of appliance paint the silver has a killer flake to it, gloss black looks awesome and the cream is sharp too

- strip paint with air craft stripper, clean with water really well
- sand down with 600 grit
- shoot a coat of self etching primer on there
- lay first coat of paint
- lay 2nd coat of paint
- wet sand 2000 grit
-3rd layer of paint-
-wet sand 2000 grit
-let set up and cure for 24 hrs
- wet sand again
- 3 layers of clear
- wet sand
let cure for 24-48
- buff paint
wait a week before waxing

my buddy (Troy) just did it to his cafe build ... here is what he got
The paint is rustolium Metallic

after clear:

It wouldn't hurt to practice on something besides your bike.

Hey Joe... What do you mean by " appliance" paint? Where do you find it?
