Default Clutch cable adjustment at break-in

Have any of you guys noticed any slack in your clutch cable during the break-in period? My bike is at about 600 miles and is starting to loosen up. I have noticed a lot of play in the clutch lever so I adjusted the slack back down to 1/16 of an inch in the lever. I figure the cable probably has some stretch factor. Should I be adjusting the clutch now? I was planning to have the dealer do it at the 1000.

You've got to be the slowest rider to get to 1000 miles I've ever seen!! What's taking you so long? Get on that thing and ride.

There's nothing wrong with adjusting items if they need adjusted. 1000 is not a "magic" number and then all of the sudden it's ok to adjust something. Same goes with 5000, 10,000, etc. They're just numbers.

It's called Break-in....

As you use components, they stretch, get loose, eat oil, etc....

That is all normal, and why the 1K service is SO IMPORTANT!!!!!!!
