A work in progress. 2009 FXDC. Weekend warrior, with brakes and a chassis.

The new bike on tour in 2009, it worked ok as a trail bike.

Watching this thread. Purchased my first HD, a 2005 FXD. Looks to be totally stock except for HD heated grips installed. Pics coming soon. Look forward to riding the %*& out of it, and upgrading a bit.

I really like your bike a lot... I've been thinking about the same bars. I know you cut an inch off of each end, which seems about right to me as well. Did the bar dimples still work for wire access after cutting them?

Hi F86,
Thanks, the dimples still work, but the clutch and throttle cables don't because the routing is way different. The risers are 2 1/4" tall and at full lock you can almost slide a piece of paper between the throttle cables and the gas cap. Your Dyna is one of my favorites, very clean and purposeful.

Thanks for the info, Mike. I've been playing around with bars a little bit... I find the stock FXDX bars to be slightly wider and slightly higher than ideal for me. I have rotated them down a touch, which I prefer. I've also considered cutting an inch off of each end.

I've also loosely mocked up two sets of Biltwells, the Mustache and the Tracker, both of which I had lying around. Neither of them really sit where I want them, although the tracker may if I tried different risers. I really like the Flanders Cafe bar on your bike.

In fact, I like everything about your bike!
