yes always a pia.....what makes it so special ...look at the pic closely, both of them, you will see no tie downs, you can actually get on the bike,it will not tip over,i have tried it numerous times,i can put the bike up on the jack and then push it out on the driveway and wash it,push it back in the carport ,out of the sun,and dry her off...same in the shop,i can put her up on the jack, push it around where i wnt it in the shop...i dont need any adaptors,i can put a dyna, softail,or touring bike up on the jack.this jack has paid for itself ...just in the safety, sturdiness .....
Gotta ask, what makes it so special?
I have the sear Red one, it works ok.
The stability is unmatched by any other lift that I have seen. I have owned the red Sears unit and it's apples to oranges. It does however cost
a bit more but it's well worth it IMHO. + you don't need 2X4s or the plastic BS adapters for your Dyna. Its really a fine piece of equipment. I also have the oil drain pan that they make for it as well. It also works bitchin. http://www.jsjacks.com/lift.html

Reason: more info
I think the selling point of the j&s is that it's very stable, to the point you can sit on the bike while it's on the jack and no fall-go boom. lol Check out the video on their site.
I can see the stability, it looks like its a little wider then the standard red one. But, for $200 more, it better be.
I push my red one around just fine, and a couple straps never hurt a thing.
