From what I understand, the fuel pack is not a tuneable device. If Toplink were to get into a situation where dyno tuning was necessary, he would be SOL with the fuelpack. Unless he is set on staying with just a exhaust/ air cleaner upgrade, the fuelpack is not a good option.
Like said not sure if it's the best but. fuelpack is a tuneable device, there are different progarms that I can do for prticular engine setups from stock to build ups. I think the fuelpack is a good option for new bikes because I can make changes as I put more parts on it. If and when I need a dyno it will be miles down the road.
John, you really shouldn't need to do the download unless you change both the pipes and A/C.If you just do one or the other,I dont think its needed.
I decided to go with the SERT when I changed the pipes and A/C on my 06 Wide Glide.
The download cost me $150 and no labor charge about a month ago. I had it done at the same time I had my Metzler 880's put on.
I've got V&H slipons, high flow stage I air cleaner (with round nostalgic cover) and XiEDs instead of a tuner and it all seems to work really well together.
What does the HD Stage 1 download consist of other than changing the rev limit to 6300rpm ? i was always wondering. i paid 250 here in canada at the time i purchased my SG.
