Default Dunlop D205 170 60 17

I'm looking for a rear tire and i have been running the D205's but the local shop jacked up the price. The 160 70-17 is $175 mounted and balanced
The shop will mount my own tire for $26
I found on ebay the 160 70-17 is $107 shipped which is a good price even with the $26 i'll have to pay to mount and balance
The same seller has a 170 60-17 for $97 shipped which is a wider tire and a better price. I'm almost certain that it should fit fine since some of you have put on the 180 55-17 without the wide tire kit and it didn't rub.
Does anybody know for certain that the 170 60-17 will fit without mods, i'm hessitant because i will be buying it on ebay and cant return it.

btw the D205 is a great tire for the price i get about 5-6k out of one and it has excellent traction and is really sticky if you feel the tread after a hard ride though the mountains.

Thats what I run on my bob. I have 11" EMS shocks and 1"lowering blocks. I did make sure my wires were OK before I put it on so its been no problem.

be careful buying discount tires. Tires have a shelf life of around 5-6 years. The rubber actually ages with time, heat, and other variables. Many "discount" tire dealers sell older tires that have sat around for a while or were improperly stored....That's how they get them at a discount.

The manufacture date is supposed to be printed on the sidewall of every auto tire (I'd imagine the same is true for moto tires). It's a mm/yy code I think.
