It's freekin nice out here today. I'm going to finish my rain guteers today and work on the bike some more. Wife and I did some running around this morning and saw Stanger out on his bike. Makes me think I better get off my *** and get the bike ready.
Weather/temps don't stop me from riding, it's the road conditions. Haven't been able to ride in central Wisconsin since 11/28. We got 6 inches of snow Thursday night. GAY!
It's not the temp but the road conditions. I rode for an hour yesterday. 60 Degrees. Today sunny but cold, 30's. Next three days it is going to snow. The weatherman says that it is going to be so much snow that they can't predict how much. Park the EG again for another month.
It's not the cold that stops me, it's the salty roads. I don't like that stuff creeping into the unseen areas of my bike.

Ditto. I ride in any temp, as low as 8°F once. But snow and salt are a big turn off. A week or so ago, Mrs. Grind wanted something from a craft store. Weather seemed nice, so I took the bike. I forgot about the one that's 3 miles away, so I went to the one that's about 11 miles away. When I came out of the store after 10 minutes, flurries had already started to cover my ride. Halfway home, the roads were covered. The last two miles were downright scary. Fortunately, NO cars were behind me, so I could putt along at 15mph.
