Super Glide Custom or Low Rider
#21
Both great bikes. You cant really go wrong here. I had the same question at my time of purchase. I went with the FXDC because I liked the Fat Tank, the laced wheels, and the lower sticker price. Like others have said, the bikes are similar in a lot of respects. The FXDC has plenty of chrome on it, as does the low rider. The major difference that most people are concerned with is the black vs silver motor. Take a look at the handle bar instrument read out on the Low Rider, some love it, some dont. At the end of the day, (because the differences on the two bikes are mainly cosmetic), I would suggest going with the bike that puts the largest smile on your face. Because that is what it's all about.
As many have already stated...you can add different bars, risers...(maybe the low rider requires special risers), pipes, seats, etc...just as easily on both bikes. but because of the disparity in sticker price...with the FXDC...you have the extra money at the get go to do it...=)
Cheers,
Tom

I just traded my 1200 C on my Low Rider- (the ride for free deal) Love it. I have a comfy seat for when my kid wants to ride, but also I have a custom solo seat. I had lowered my Sportster an inch, and the low rider seems great the way it is. It is so well balanced and a comfy ride for a passenger. So there is a gals 2 cents.
