I don't agree. $220 is chicken scratch compared to the cost of the bike. H-D made a design decision with these headlights, nothing more. It's not like someone was sitting in an office planning on how they could maximize profits if a rock hit the headlight.
Without those shareholders, H-D wouldn't be where it is today, if it even still existed. Reagan gave the company a bail-out decades ago. How would you feel if they were sitting right next to the Big Three auto-makers today asking for more?

Honda lent H-D the money years ago, when the 13 took control of the Company from AMF...the govt lent Chrysler money, but they paid it all back. Honda had hopes that H-D would fail, so they could have control of the Company...but, costs were controlled and Honda was paid back quickly. Legend has it, that the Fat Boy model was released in 1990 to kinda "shove it Honda" haha...since the 2 bombs dropped over Japan during The War were named Little Boy and Fat Man...
...and the colors of the bomb? Yellow and grey..the first factory colors of the 1990 Fat Boy. Whoever said payback is a b!^ch wasnt jokin.. Dont get me wrong, I dont mean to go off on a tangent from a thread about an expensive headlight, and I mean no disrespect, but just want to set the record straight
