On the inside of the bracket you should be able to see the spot welds, flip it over and drill out the spot welds. A dremel with a grinding wheel will help smooth everything out.

Wow, I thought the 5/16 bolts were on the Sportster only and 3/8 on the Dyna..

5/16" are for the signals, fender bolts are 3/8".
