Are there any helmets out there that look and fit like a Novelty helmet, but are DOT approved?

Interesting... now I have doubts about it. Maybe I'll just get a football helmet.

I ned to get a new helmet . I got pulled over in NY state by a cop , he said that he could tell I was wearing a non dot helmet and slapped me with a ticket. I was a cool Gladiator style chrome helmet. I think I might switch to a full ace for the long trips and one of those carbon fiber one for around town. Are those carbon fiber helmets really dot approved, just dont want to spend the money for one and get pulled over again

Stic2it, if you are having a problem with the fit, call them up. Mine was the right size, but was pressing kind of hard on my forehead and had some space on the sides so sent it back and the did some more work on it to form it better to my head. It needed to be a bit more oval (what can I say I must have a football type head). They say they do about one of these mods a day. They sent it back it fits great.
