RE: Seat Question
yep thats the color and rustic look that I am after. I am thinking to get the best route maybe to bring my stock seat in to a leather dealer or western store that repairs leather and pick out that kind of skin and just have the then reskin the stock seat in that old style rustic look. That should work. Just have to find a leather store and good leather repair guy around here.

RE: Seat Question
Oh come on, you guys must all be candy a$$es!! Ha, ha, only kidding. It is a very bare bones seat that's for sure but had to have it since it went with the look I'm going for. I sat on it for a bit over the weekend while we were getting the bike put back together and it really isn't too bad with the tension springs. Between those and the rear shocks I'm sure it will soak up all the bumps. However, it definately won't be like sitting on a lazy boy...more like one of those plastic chairs from elementary school! I'm used to riding a motorcross bike with a seat that's hard as hell so that probably helps. I did design the brackets so that all I have to do is remove two bolts and throw the stock seat on if I'm going for a really long ride.
Most any of the hand tooled seat guys you will find will cover any seat. They will even shave the foam down on the stock seat to get better lines if you want and can cut out and add a gel insert in the middle. You can contact Martin who did my seat and see what he could do. Quite reasonable and exceptional work. www.dreamevildesigns.net
