Some bikes can handle the look of the extended mounts, some can't... depending on the look you're going for.

i think these are the best of the lot... no extra clamps on the tubes, and nice and tite against the trees.. plus there not exspensive and work awsome...

I bought Duece turn signal mounts for $16 shipped and I like them. Plus I plan on putting AUX lights down on the forks so I kept turn sigs up high. In my signature pic you can see how low they use to hang off the bars.

Same exact ones JP Cycle has.
Best looking ones I have seen so far, especially for the price.

Thanks guys, lots of good info, pics, and links.

Joe, your setup looks great, I watched the video. Can you please give me more info? Where can one buy these from? How much $$$ for the kit? Would they work on my 07 WG?

I would appreciate the info too, that is exactly what I want to do with mine, right now they are tucked inside my fork bag waiting for just such a solution : ) ( I'm not riding it that way, its still winter here )

I plan to relocate mine at some point, but how do you get the wiring out of the bars to move the sigs to the forks?
