RE: Floor Jack Revisited
The new sears jack works with the dynas with blocks from the stealers for around $26.00. I had the part number on the original post awhile back... I'm talkin' about the yellow jack the Pro model I have it and it works great...
Hmmmmm.... it's been a long day... I should of read all your message... your asking about the RED JACK... DUH... brain fart... I guess it may of had a clearance problem... Went to a
HD Birthday party great times there and after.... [sm=outcold.gif]

Awww...had me all excited there for a moment. The Bob's got 5.6 inches of clearance. The Craftsman [red] lift is a minimum of 5.25. Seems fine until you take into consideration you may need those rubber lift things to clear the oil pan which may kill your clearance. Anyone using the Craftsman Red or Goodyear Yellow lift on an 06?

RE: Floor Jack Revisited
You can use either. . . . in theory. I had the red one and used it when putting the shorter shocks on my street bob. I DID have a difficult time getting the bike off the jack because the red jack's minimum height is a bit too tall. Also, I am not sure how well it would work with the lift adapter kit blocks because I didn't have them at the time. I suspect, they would be too low to get this jack under even if the bike has stock ground clearance.
I recently replaced it with the "pro" version. The pro jack is SO much lighter and it gets plenty low enough to get under the bike (it does seem to flex just a tad more). As I said, I didn't use the adapter blocks with the red jack, but I picked up a set and used them with the pro jack. Even with the blocks, I can still get this jack under the lowered bike.
Sometimes you have to come up with a creative way to get the bike on the jack. I had to put the 2 forward blocks on the frame, then sit on the bike and straighten it up, put the jiffy stand up and out of the way, while still sitting on the bike . . reach down and put the 3rd block on the frame and then roll the jack under the bike and raise the jack so the blocks are solidly on the jack. At that point you can dismount. Of course, this process is MUCh easier if you have some help. Because of the way the jack is made, you cannot leave the jiffy stand down. As I recall, the red jack had the same issue.
I rambled a bit and maybe didn't make any sense, but hopefully you can get something usefull out of that. As I said, I have used both successfully and you are welcome to PM me if you have any questions. In short, I'd recommend the extra money for the lighter, nicer looking pro jack that can get significantly lower.
