any fatbob owners with QD sissy bar?

I like using the detachable plates for the reasons below. Most of the time I like it like the first when it's just me. The second and third are for the wife for short to long trips respectively. Detachable just give you more options. If you are worried about theft, just get the cam locks.

Hey everyone,
I am thinking about adding a sissy bar to my fat bob. I will be using it primarily to mount a small bag on the back but to occasionally carry a passenger. I was wondering if most of you guys are using the quick detach unit or one that is permanently bolted on? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Wood Butcher,
The wife loves the back seat. 200% over stock. No scratches on the fender. I don't see where you would think it would scratch the fender. I'll take a look and get back with you.
Jake.h,
The luggage rack uses the same holes that the sissy bar uses inside the side plates. It comes with longer bolts and goes through the plates and into the up rights on the back rest. #53982-08 $134.95

Just wondering about the scratching 'cause I noticed on my Ultra that when I changed seats that happened. Same on the Road King I had before. It either scratched or made a rub mark on the rear fender I couldn't buff out.

Found this the other day. Pretty cool alternative to the HD side plate design. Hope this link works.

I was thinking about the sissy bar/luggage rack issue for mine, but I have a solo seat and don't want the luggage rack going to the rear of the sissy bar. My idea of a perfect setup would be that the luggage rack comes forward instead of to the rear where any luggage strapped to it would almost act as a backrest when strapped to the bike.
I also use it with my solo seat when I travel to strap my Grantour bag in front of the sissy bar. The bag sits on my Motherwell solo fender rack and acts as a backrest. Here the rack is under the leather from my throwover bags.
