Default For rockon, or those on the edge about superbrace - Ride report!

Hey guys,

Well, as most of you know, I got the superbrace group buy setup for everyone, and bought one myself. Got here within a week, in denim black. Looks AWESOME!

Now, for the report. I know some of you guys are on the edge about buying this brace, so maybe this might help a bit.

- Installation was super easy, by the way. Took 10 minutes at the most. Very snug fit too.

- Now the ride... it was WAY better then ever before. Here in a Florida, we don't have any twisties, but there are a few roads near the beach on A1A that have some pretty fun turns that I can lean into at 40 MPH. This brace COMPLETELY changed the feel of those turns. Made it feel a hell of a lot more stable. But, I also have SE fork oil in my forks, so a lot of the bounce up front has been eliminated. But the turns were just so much more stable and "safe" feeling. I took it on the highway for a bit, and the whole front end just feels a lot more stable. No wobble whatsoever. Very, VERY solid ride. I couldn't believe how much of a difference this brace made. Guys, not even kidding, I was a bit skeptical of getting the brace seeing how we have 49mm forks, and thinking they won't flex that much, but this fork brace really changed it up.

So for rockon: As to you question about either buying the brace or the seat, I say go for the brace!! Just do it quick, as I'm not to sure they still have some in stock.

I agree,
I also notice a big diffrence when I installed my super brace. Alot more stable through turns and no more wobble.

I agree, but i think that goes with any fork brace, i got the screamin' eagle one and it makes a huge improvement over stock makes it feel like you can pust it even more and still get that "safe" feel.

The space is about 6 1/2" on my bike. I could't find my tape measuer, so I used a ruler. That was as close as I was able to get it. So it might not be that accurate.

do you also have the true track set up?

ive been looking at the roland sands new brace for sloptails. it looks more style over function, but i dig it - thinking about trying to make one adapt or maybe just fabricate entirely for our fork

Never heard, or seen the roland sands setup. But good luck!! And no, I don't have true trac. Its pretty expensive, and its a modification I don't really need at the moment. I'm in the market for new suspension right now, and some new bars. Just can't decide what to go with for suspension.

Adrian,

Best money I've spent so far! Been under the weather for a few days, but when I read your ride report on the SuperBrace, I had to put her on and see for myself. You nailed it!
What a difference in handling and stability. I was on the fence but thought it couldn't hurt and just might help. Well, you couldn't wipe the grin off my face the first few miles.
Rock solid. I weigh in at 245 and it makes a world of difference.

Thank you,

Greg
