Why do they list two different part #s for the FXD and FXDC when these bikes come with the exact same 49mm forks?

Gary, I don't know the answer to your question but I have a another related one. The product ID # for an 09 FXD is 5191-02 and an 05-08 FXDC is 5191-01. But there was no listed ID for an 09 FXDC. Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see it. I would assume it should be the same superbrace for all of them, but the listing is unclear. I emailed them to find out and awaiting a response.

Yeah, they don't list a brace for an 09 FXDC. I e-mailed them about it, too.

Interesting. I hadn't heard of this brace before. Can you give a better description of how it improves your ride? I mean, it's one thing to say the handling is better, but I'm curious WHY the ride is better because of this doo-dad. Thanks.

When you get it on. Hit the twisties and you will see how it improves the ride. The bike just sweeps through the corners. I have the SE on mine and it has improved the handling and the stability of the bike at high speeds.
