Thanks.

The opening isn't bad. I can stuff my XL heavy-duty leather jacket in one bag. No small feat since it's is a rather hefty jacket.

I was looking at the detacheable bags, but they were $200 more and not lockable.
Tony, I suggest you get a photobucket account (photobucket.com) and then upload yer pics and you can resize them from big (you'll be getting nice notes from the admids to scale them down) to avitar sized. I'm pretty much a pc moron and I can do it...Here's a pic of my bike before and after saddle bags. I understand the need for bags on a dyna but so glad mine are off.

Nice ride!

I may still buy the detacheable kit for mine. However, I'm diggin' having a place to load my stuff.

I want a set of these bags. But it looks like they are molded over the struts? Will they work with detachable side plates?

Thanks Shawn

I like those bags too and was disappointed to find HD doesn't have a detachable set for the the Dyna! Thanks to doxbike link, I now have to reconsider my options! I'm going to call Cyclevisions in the AM with the HD model number of that bag and get their input. I was starting to consider these.

After taking a closer look at those Cycle Vision brackets, it looks like they would make your bags stick out a good 1 1/2 's from the struts. Has anyone else noticed this??
