How difficult is it to install a quick release detachable windshield? Is it something I could do myself and does it come with easy to figure out instructions? About how long should that take to do?
Also, has anyone installed the detachable sideplates for a sissy bar and done the relocation of the signals? How difficult is that.
Im fairly handy with tools and am wondering if I should do it myself and avoid the 88.00 per hour dealer charge for labor!
Thks

Once you assemble the hardware onto the frame of a new windshield; it might take you about 2-3 minutes the first time you place it on the forks. You spread the clamps (if that is the kind of quick-release you have), carefully aim/maneuver the windshield assembly, bending the shield gently as necessary, then snap it in or clamp the clamps, however. The next time, it might take you 20-45 seconds.

Get the windshield with out the mounting hardware.
The good one with the clamps that just clamp onto the trees. I have the quick release with mounts, and my mom has the clamp on one. I would trade any day of the week.
