Yeah but then HD's own rattlecan wrinkle black doesn't match the stock stuff on the bike...

I have tried 8 different brands of flat black spray paint and none of it matches the harley paint.
I've been down this road myself a couple summers ago. I messed around with trying to match black denim.I found a Krylon rattle can that was perfect it was called semi flat black. Then the bastards quit making it I found some in a auto parts store with the same name but it didn't match. Finally I said the hell with it and started painting stuff with Duplicolors pick up truck bed liner, no it doesn't match either but it's tough as hell and looks alright. My local Harley dealer can't seem to find black denim in their 20$ rattle can either.

You've probably already made a move but, I saw a web-site "color rite" I think that had HD denim spray paint for around $30 a can. It sayd they work with HD to make it so that should match?

Later,

Default Denim finishes

Back in 1991 I bought a new Jeep Wrangler and it came in gun metal blue, wich was a denim finish, they had several models with that finish.
