can i use a 2000 night train front wheel on my 2006 street bob will they swap out ? everything looks to be the same but i just want to make sure before i rip into it .
the wheel bearings are different size. You can buy a wheel kit from harley that has the correct bearings but I dont know that that wheel will accept the axle size on a street bob the axle size on a night train is 3/4 and straat bob is 1 Inch. You alos may have to have new sapcers since the night train has a wide glide style front end. It can most likely be dont but it may be alot of work to get it done.
thanks. for some reason i was thinking the bob was 3/4 axle also . spacers should be no big deal i can turn them out on the lathe but i will messure up the bearings and try to cross them over unless of course someone already has and can save me alittle dial caliper time LOL ..
I have been meaning to cross them myself since i work as a maintenance mechanic. That way I can just get the bearings at work. I have seen the bearings for sale on ebay for a fair price. I put a sporster front wheel on my 06 street bob and had to make spacers and I also had to space out the caliper a little to match up with the rotor. I am currently working on putting a fat boy front wheel on my 08 street bob. I have put a wide glide front end on it.
i also am a mechanic and was looking to do the same thing since we have cross over books i though hell they have to be cheaper else where .. lol . in the next few days i will see what i come up with and chime in on the sizes i find .

I am going to try tonight when i get to work. Should be able to get that info also But our parts guy is kind of lazy...lol But between us both we should be able to find out some info. Check both the 3/4 and 1 inch bearings too.
Thing to be most concerned with is the disc lining up to the caliper. If the wideglide hub is too wide you probably can't get the caliper to line up to the disc.
