When I installed my Motherwell rack, I had some 1/8 inch foam with self adhesive backing. I cut a piece the same size as the 1/4 inch that comes with the rack. I cut a hole in it to clear the fender nut. I stuck this to fender. It WILL peel off easy with no damage to paint. With the 1/4 inch on rack and 1/8 inch on fender there is no wobble at all. Some of you may want to try this.
