have to go with Dr. Marten here.
just bought a new pair after owning my old pair for over 9 hard years.
by far the most comfortable pair of boots i have ever worn. felt like putting a pair of house slippers on.
here are the new ones i traded for. pretty nice, although a bit thinner material than the last pair.

I wear Harley boots I think the engineer model. Been wearing em for 5 years, tread is about gone but still sticks to the road when I put my foot down. They are very comfortable, but did require a break in. The leather is very thick and has stood up well with no nicks or cuts. I'd buy em again.

I have to vote for the Doc Martens.
As mentioned by others - they are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. no exceptions.

I got a great deal last year on a pair in my clown shoe size. I liked them so much I bought a second pair to put on deck when the first pair wears out. It seems that's going to be a long time down the road.

I'm not a brand loyal person. I buy what fits and feel confortable. Right now I have a pair of black lace up boots from Wal-Mart, cost about $30 and I love them. In fact, everytime I go into a wal-mart I look for another pair. But size 14e is not easy to find.

I also have a pair of wolverine boots that I love, but they were a lot more expensive.

Buddy I know will not wear anything except Dr. Martins, the original 8 inch lace up boots with the greasy leather finish. I can't find these in size 14e or I would try a pair. He says they are the most confortable boots he has ever owned and they seem to last for years. He honestly won't wear anything else while riding, I mean any other brand of boots.

" Charlie Dunn, he's the one to see, Charlie Dunn boots that are on my feet. It makes Charlie real pleased to see me walkin' with ease, Charlie Dunn, he's the one to see." JJW Otherwise buy a good fitting, sturdy boot, that fits well. Slip ons aren't made for walking long distances. I wear lace ups, steel toes, slip ones. HD, redwing, nocona, justin, whatever suits the mood or the endeavor. Bad beer is an annoyance, bad shoes are a disaster.Get what fits and feels good
