Default Shorter T/S Stalks

It is really easy..Just unplug the signals at the tail light, remove the bolts that hold them on and pull the wiring back through the struts. Careful about the wiring clips under the fender that keep the wires secured and away from the tire. Pull the wires through the old stalks and put the same wires back through the new stalks. At worst you may have to replace the plastic connectors.

It's not a big deal. If you are talking about replacing the long stockers with the shorter ones all you have to do is take the tailight off, unplug the turn signals from the board, take the wires out of the plugs, go under the fender and take the wires away from the clips that hold them away from the tire, unbolt the sigs, pull the old shanks off and replace with the new ones and put everything back in reverse order.

You can't pull the plugs though the stalks you have to remove the plugs from the wires first. The easiest way is go to the dealer and buy a new set of terminal ends and plugs, it's only a couple bucks.

Plumblocal1,
I have a set of those short stalks off my 07 Street Bob if you want them. Part number is 69820-06, they look like this: http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
I went with the extreme narrow kit (no signals, integrated Kury tail light)

Creekhed1,
PM me an address, I will ship them Monday, and then charge you for shipping. It's just two stalks and two bolts, so probably $5 or so, depending on where you are at.

You don't have to remove the tire, but you do need to unload the back end to get it as low as possible. The bolts for the stock stalks are longer than the new bolts, so they are hard to get out with the tire up in the wheel well, but they will come out if you drop the wheel as low as you can. Good luck.
