Default what's wrong with a speedo on the bars?

so many seem offended by their speedo mounted on the bars. Why. Sure is the best place to see it. CVO bikes have a tach on the bars and so do most that buy an aftermarket one. Also in the case of the FXD/C the center fuel cap is great and really makes it near impossible to spill gas over the tank on fill up. Off Hand I understand the cleaner look that no speedo give, but from a usability standpoint, what a great place to have it located.

cool too. Make the bike look all business. I went through the whole want my speedo on my tank, but, becoming a more aggressive rider has made me glad it is where I can see it easily to better monitor where I am speed wise. Can you imagine if all those inept drivers out there also had to look down to see the speed their car was going.

dont get me started on all the *sshole cagers out there. I live in NY. Tach and speedo on the bars is the way to go if you want to see them. On my LR they're on the tank. It is much better with a tank lift though.

I like it to that was part of the reason that i went with the FXD. When it came to get the bats that I wanted it made more sense to move it to the tank. Now with the new bracket being drawn in cad by the member on here I think that I might get one made to mount a tac. Great idea.

The fact the speedo was on the bars didn't bother me. In my eyes, the speedo on the bars with the black krinkle bracket, was ugly and reminded me I bought a bike I could afford, not the one I wanted.

I have since made it what I wanted and still have the speedo on the bars, just not the cyclops like eyeball in the middle of the bars.

Thats my opinion and not one I expect others to share,
