Sure. They didn't have the replacement engine ready right at the transition of ownership, so they had to build more shovels. If I recall, the problems were due to manufacturing processes rather than design faults.

OK,I see I had my head up my A$$ this morning,I was thinkin backwards,dreaming of summer got me screwed up.

I had A 1969 sporty that i had for three years . Sold it for a down payment on a house in 1985 . Worst F'en idea I had ! Saving up for that same bike again .

I really dig the Knucklehead motors--probably my fave; but, I think I'd rather have one of the early Duo Glides ... pre-electric start, say from 58-63 a couple of examples below. (Like that 1960 Police!)

+1.... also love this beauty my buddy owns! over the many many years it has taken several forms, his family is HUGE into Harleys and his dad bought it new years and years ago... love riding with him, the kick start is a panty dropper when we are leaving the bars
