Default What kind of air cleaner is this?

On my new (used) 07 FXDB it has an aftermarket air cleaner. The dealer said the previous owner added it after getting the Big Radius pipes and Stage 1 upgrade/download.

Can anyone identify it? It's also odd since it seems to have no filter behind it, like the stock ones do (at least not that I can see from the front or side). Why is that?

Forgive my ignorance as this is my first Big Twin.

Looks like the harley football cover with a designer center cover and no back plastic plate means its more than likely a Stage I, If you take that designer plate off you will then see one single bolt take it out and then you will see the filter.

If you get it apart and don't find a filter, get a filter on before you run it anymore.

Ah, thanks. I really hate that decorative cover, I'd rather have the standard ring HD one. So I assume I can probably switch that plain chrome one out?

Or do i need those slots with this setup?

Can anyone point me to alternate covers?

Skully are there other covers that work with this kit? How can I identify such covers?

looks to me sir like someone has bolted a derby cover over a stock ac cover. Take the 5 fasteners off, and you'll more than likely see a single fastener in the middle of that cover. There are a thousand different ac covers available for your setup. e bay search harley davidson air cleaner cover.

if its the standard HD football cover then my guess would be any would work. My guess is if you take all those allen bolts out of that cover there will be a star shaped pcs of metal under it that is used for that cover to attach if thats the case you have a regular football cover and should be able to by any insert cover for your year of bike and hd football
