The dealer I ordered my Bassani Pro streets through told me to get a Race Fueler. Upon further investigation, we don't see a HD Race Fueler for the 2006 Dyna. I asked about the SERT but they said it was overkill for just a stock 06 Dyna w/ SE A?C and the Bassani's. They said the Bassani's have a baffle that will provide enough back pressure so just the download I have already will work out fine. So, they are trying NOT TO SELL me more stuff? What are your thoughts? Do I need a TFI or similar fueler?

The TFI is the simpliest and easiest way to go bottom line. Works great and easy to tune.

Having used both, I could never think that the SERT is over kill even on a bone stock bike. Thats like saying adjusting the timing curve/advance on an old V8 distributer or changing jets is an overkill. It just gives you complete and precise control of the bikes tuning.

Do we dare throw the V&H Fuel Pak into the mix? Does anyone know if it also changes timing or just fuel? My understanding is they have a bunch of exhaust/intake combos that they dyno tuned on their web site-you find your setup (if it's there) and punch in the 10 or 20 number codes and your bike runs as if it was dyno tuned. can anybody confirm this or add to this?

Do you have to splice wires to install the Techlusion TFI? I'm thinking of going this route but I'd like some install instructions first. I looked on their website and the flash instructions show splicing. Not sure the flash is for the 2006 Dyna version.

Screaming eagle race fueler for 06 is part number 32136-06a just out

It has low, mid and high range fuel potentiometer dial adjusters
low, mid and high led indicators
low rpm to mid range potentiometer dial adjuster
mid rpm to high rpm range potentiometer dial adjuster
accelerator pump output potentiometer dial adjuster .
This fits in next to fuses

The adjustment range is 10% to +40 %

There are no official settings with you adjust to your bike

The Techlusion plugs into the harness, o2 sensors, injectors etc. with the proper connectors. Only the older TFI versions were spliced. Takes about 45 minutes to install it.

They have demo for 06 Dyna, it's the 1340 ST unit and there's a link - Gen III TFI Demo

On my 05 all I had was the two injector plug connectors and an eyelet for a connection to the battery - NO splicing.

I installed my 1340ST myself and I'm mechanically challenged. I lack the skills to think ahead alot of the times, so, other than a couple of "whoops, shoulda thought of that beforehand" incidents that required me to redo a couple of things, it was pretty simple. No splicing. The harness and clips make it simple.

Here's a link to a pdf of the instructions, btw. Save it to your hard drive first if you can't open it. If all else fails, pm me and i'll send you the pdf.

Whiff

Glad to hear you got that thing hooked up.

Have you run into any of the issues other people have reported? Codes and such?
