I like the fact that the wheels are not completely black and that the polished edges of the spokes stand out.....

Heh, I'm thinking about pc'ing my wheels and have been pondering how to do 'em - solid, just the machined areas or just the unmachined areas. Maybe I'll do 'em like that.

exactally. I have seen some that have done the entire wheel. I wish I would have seen them done this way 6 months ago. I would have just done my 39mm front black and the wheels this way off the bat. Anyways should someone be interested in a 41mm wideglide front end or my wheels let me know. Should someone be interested in taking my front end and wheels off my hands I will go about the project. FWIW I have the original unused lowers should you not want my current lowers done in epoxy black. The front has a 2" lowering kit from progressive in there.

i think that if you did the same overall sceme but also left the outter lip polished that it would look sick! (like where my wheel stripe is... if you left that polished as well)

You're going to need the correct wheel spacers and a rotor spacer, it can certainly be done.
Not sure if your 41mm front end has a 3/4 axle - if it does then you need to deal with that too. As you know - your 2005 wheel has a 1" axle.

Have to admit - those wheels do look good.
