Question Lyndall Z-Plus pads?

The semi-metallic pads that came on my FXDC are a dust nightmare. I ordered the Z-Plus pads today because they are supposed to be near dustless, not to mention an all around better pad than the OEM pads.

Anyone runniing the Z-Plus pads who can report on their propensity to dust vs the OEM pads?

I've been running Gold-Plus pads for the last 10,000 miles and loved every mile. They produce less dust than the OEM pads. My wheels are now much easier to clean. It's just about time to replace my pads (they last between 10 - 15K miles) and will without a doubt be getting another set of Lyndall pads.

I chose the Gold pads because I ride in a lot of rain. According to Lyndall's site, the Gold pads perform better than the Z pads in heavy rain. I've never run the Z-plus pads, though, so I can't speak from personal experience.

See this thread for a little more reading about Lyndall pads in wet weather:

I never intentionally ride in the rain. In the last 2 years, I've only ridden in the rain once, and that's because I got caught in a brief thundershower while I was out riding on an otherwise nice spring day. That's why I chose the Z-Plus pads over the Gold.

My local indy said he'd install the pads for thirty bucks, but I may do it myself. Anything significant I need to know about the install? (I have the service manual.)

Do they perform any better or is it just dustless/quieter?

Rockon, your avatar cracks me up.

I don't see how the Lyndall pads could perform any worse than the stock ones. I haven't been too impressed with OEM brakes so far.
