Lyndall Z-Plus pads?

Why would you need to pull the wheels to change the brake pads? I don't remember seeing that in the service manual.

Since I'm replacing new pads, do you think I'll have to siphon off some brake fluid? In my experience with cars, it's the distance you have to push the pistons back in because of the amount of pad wear that necessitates this. My bike only has 700 miles on it, so the pads should not be worn enough to change the level of brake fluid, right?

No you shouldn't have to touch the fluid level. There is a small membrane in the cover of the master cylinder, that expands as the fluid level goes down over time. But with only 700 miles.... probably not. Although after you're done with the pads, you may want to check the fluid level. Remember to turn your handlebars all the way to the left to do that.

The Z-Plus pads are on. Rode about 40 miles and they do seem to have a better "feel" than the stock pads.
I'll get the bike cleaned up this weekend and then go for a long ride on Sunday and see how they are as far as dust. I'm going to be major pissed if they wind up dusting as much as the stock pads.
