Default Covers for rear shocks

I like the chrome covers for the standard and lower progressive-type shocks. I think they were stock on the 07 Screamin Eagle Dyna ... of course the newer style with rounded top is stock on the Fat Bob.

Does anyone have a set of the covered shocks or even just the covers lying around collecting dust ... I'd be interested in picking some up.

Any comments on them from a stylistic or performance perspective? For me it is the nostalgia factor ... they were stock on the first swingarm bikes for quite a while. There was even a rounded cap that covered the upper bolt ... don't see that so much any more.

I like the "full cover" style shocks as well, for the same reason: nostalgic looking. I have a set of Progressive 412HD full covers coming.

Hey Priest, take a look at Progressive, they have some great looking shock covers. I have the Double-Cut that compliment my V&H pipes. You might be able to find an inexpensive set on Ebay...

Progressive sells just the covers for $80. But I think they only fit certain models of shocks.

I say spare no expense, you NEED them. Glad I snagged the ones I have, they really make the bike look good. Get those and an FL style rear fender and you have a definate winner. Your bike is looking great.

Not sure if the below from V-Twin Mfg will fit late model Dynas ... I'm thinking about giving it a try ....

The V-Twin replica covers are $30-$35 vice $80+ for the Progressive ones. The dome cover is about $20 ... (prices from Discount Cycle Parts).
