Hey Lowrider966,

Keep us posted on how the drop in springs on the front handle. Where are you in NJ? I am in East Brunswick. I have heated Gerbing gear, but for over 3 weeks now, there has been ice on the roads and not safe to go out. Tomorrow (Jan. 23) it will be 45 so I think I'll get out for a while.

Hey man, I'm down south in Glassboro. I saw that weather report. Gonna try to get out for a quick ride tomorrow. I'll post results if I do.

Does the drop in kit have a spacer for the preload? My 2" kit does. Only reason I ask is because you may need to cut the spacer to better set up your sag and stiffness of the front end. At first the stiffer front may feel confidence inspiring, but, too stiff and the front will skip over multiple bumps and can get hairy around bumpy corners.

Yes, it's a 3.30 inch PVC pipe. All models except the Wide Glide have to cut the PVC down to 1 inch before installation. The instructions said you can fine tune it by cutting .25 inches (I think) off at a time. Thanks for the warning, I'll see how it rides and take it from there.
