you can probably get them to go under msrp really. I got 13700 OTD plus they gave me full MSRP on my 07 skirtster. Spend some time at the stealer and work em until they give you a good deal.

Yeah, I say shop around to see what the best deal is you can get and maybe call a few places that might be a bit of a drive even. I called like 85 miles north of me and got an offer that blew away my local dealers – then one of the locals said they would match it.

I ended up paying $14,445 for an ’09 denim black, factory security, black Vance and Hines Big Radius, Screamin’ Eagle stage 1 a/c, and HD remap with all labor for install included. They talked me out of a few hundred more than I had intended to pay, but I think I still came away with a decent enough deal. They would have really hosed me if I hadn’t shopped around.

That didn’t include tax, title, and tag tho either……. I got hit for another like $575 for that when I went to get my tag, but I already knew that’s what it would be.

I bet you can find a dealer willing to wave the set up fees.

I traded in my Sportster for MSRP and got an 09 FXDL with a security system for $14600 OTD.

Fastfwd, OTD price by definition includes tax, title, setup and tag. So your OTD price was $15,020.

LOL, that makes me feel like it sounds like I made a horrible deal! The extra $575 was going to be nonnegotiable though. They only actually charged me tax on $13,000 something of the total.

I should have made a copy of my bill of sale. It showed a MSRP or base price of around $12,500 ish so that they could fit in a bunch of other fees and include the cost of accessories and labor. Before I paid my taxes I hoped that the breakdown was going to be in my favor when it came time to pay the tax and apparently it was. Now, I don’t know how that might reflect when it comes time for resale, but I’m not too terribly concerned about that.

I imagine that with all the extra fees that I paid – I probably more than picked up the tab for the extra parts, but even then it was a far better deal than what I would have gotten coming straight in off the street. I question if any dealer in Oklahoma will waive the freight and some kind of setup fee. Whatever….my deal is done. I’m not going to dwell on it much more.
