For those that have done big bore kits either SE103 / Hillside 107 or done cams (which ones) and headwork, what was the actual cost when all is said and done?

For example, I know the basic SE103 can be had for just under $700. What was the over all cost?

I'm definitely on a budget but want dearly to be able to have a motor whose output is close to 110 hp/tq from my tc96.

See my sig line for the build/parts.... 81.7HP / 107.1TQ.... just over $2k including dyno tuning time. Looking at swapping exhaust to improve the numbers.

 

I did my cams for about $250. Got the cams new on ebay from a guy who changed his mind and the gaskets weren't that much. My labor was free.
