Decided to replaced the mid controls but I'm wondering what is done with mid-control shift rod once the forwards are on. I assume the primary cover will have to be removed to access it for removal?

 

Yes but there are ways around it, I just hacksawed mine, ziptied the old lever to the new linkage and that was that. but I am actually gonna go back to the mids. So if anyone has their old short shift linkage from their mid controls let me know! Also Have a brand new black set of fowards with 1 ride on them for sale.. for 2006 and up dyna Harley brand! I just dont like the way they feel, Im gonna just go with pegs up front and keep my controls mid.
