It actually measures 8 3/4 on the bottom when it's off the bike. I had to grind a little on the struts but it does fit.

That sounds like a little 'squeeze'... I'll bet I could use one of those with a little 'stretch'.

Default superglide rear fender

Here is my favorite Fat Bob rear fender mod. I forget where I found the picture but it is a superglide rear fender split down the middle with 1" added to its width.

Default Babel fish translation

I used Babel fish to translate the info off of the website:

NO CUT of shields for the Dyna FatBob starting from 2008. The NO CUT Fender series by a Fender for the Dyna Fatbob one extended. At small expenditure it is possible plot-hurries a new appearance to give. With the cleanly manufactured shields for the series the original framework arms do not need to be separated. The original seat, the control unit, as well as all attachment and electrical material are re-used by the original vehicle. After the NO CUT Fender of the Softail with standard 200er rear tires, - and the Dyna series starting from 2006 has the U-station now also for the Fatbob starting from 2008 these in the program. As option still another mounting plate for the originals connector border can be ordered for the FXST of models. With the FXST models and the Dyna Fat Bob the oem Fenderstruts covers must be shortened. Further information under www.U-STATION.de Remarks and prices (conditions 02/2008)

I love the look of that fender too, but it is pretty expensive!

What fender do you guys suppose this one is in this add?

Check out milehighharley.com. They have a fat bob on there with a custom fender with no tail light. I saw it in person last week when I was there snowboarding. Pretty sweet set up. Look in the used bike section

Could swap to a wide glide fender and tail lights.
