If they're anything like the new rigid locking leather HD has for the Sportster, I'll pass. My wife has them and the opening isn't 'square', so getting stuff in and out is a pain. The backside is formed to hug the shocks, so that decreases the shape of the interior space as well. They do look nice, though.

Judging by the HD website picture, they might have the same type of opening that the Sportster bags have.

Here's mine. (Taillight lens is unscrewed, that's why it is pointing down-and I know the garage is a mess) There is still a thin protective plastic film over the chrome emblem/hinge.

I was orginally going to go with these until I saw them on a buddies bike... They look great, but just could not store all that much in them.
I ended up with the HD Distressed Leather bags, go a smokin deal on Flea Bay for them

They did require a signal relocation. I bought the H-D layback license/signal relocation kit; I would look at other options were I to do it again. If you look in the catalog bag capacity is listed as 2400 cubic inches total. That compares very well with most other DYNA bags. Since most other bags are soft maybe they can be crammed with more than their listed capacity. I've had soft bags on a bike and liked them, but they start to sag and stretch after awhile.
